Give your child the best start

Want the best possible start to your child's early education?

The de Lacey Nursery group are delighted to launch their third Hounslow nursery, right here in Bedfont, taking over from the long established ‘Bumbles Pre-School’ in The Airport Church, Hatton Rd.

We understand that the most important thing to you is that your child is safe and happy while they are at nursery, and that is exactly what they will be, but they will also be getting a great start to their early education with us.

Your child will benefit from a warm, loving, fun and stimulating home-from-home style environment.

We are headed by a very established nursery manager and leadership team, who have many years of experience of running ‘Outstanding’ nurseries in Hounslow and will bring all of that knowledge and skill to your child’s early education experience.

The nursery will be fully refurbished and decorated, both inside and out, and your child will benefit from our brand new huge outdoor garden and field where they will be able to spend time every day.

We take children from the age of TWO.

  • Montessori teaching equipment
  • Fully qualified staff team
  • Refurbished building
  • Large outdoor play space
  • Safe and secure environment
  • Convenient location

The de Lacey Pre-School v School Nursery

Where should my child go?

Many parents ask us whether their child should go to school nursery when they turn three. They are sometimes told that attending a school nursery will help them get a place in that school later on, but this absolutely not the case. Which nursery your child attends has no baring at all on which school they will get into for their Reception place.

Although both school nurseries and pre-schools like our both follow the same Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, there are differences between how we deliver them. For example, we run our sessions based on the individual needs and interests of our children, whereas school nurseries are usually topic based which might not be of any interest to your child at all. Children aged 3-5 years of age are required to have just one adult to 13 children – that could mean just two adults are going to be ‘teaching’ 26 children! In our nursery, we will have at least 4 teachers for 22 children which is about DOUBLE what a school might offer.

Why stay at The de Lacey Pre-School instead of going to school nursery?

  • Your child is settled with us and knows us,
  • Our nursery staff are all fully qualified,
  • High quality resources and environment
  • Learning is tailored to your individual child rather than the whole group.
